Planning to go to college but unsure about how to pay for it?
Plan to attend the Financial Aid Workshop scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the CHS Auditorium. A representative from Germanna Community College’s Financial Aid Office will be present to provide an overview of the financial aid process. Students and parents are welcome to attend (even if you don’t plan to go to GCC, this overview will be helpful).

Attention Seniors and Parents of Seniors:
Planning to attend college but not sure how to pay for it? CHS is sponsoring a Financial Aid Workshop for seniors and their parents to attend on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. Our guest speaker will be a representative from Germanna CC’s Financial Aid office, but the information is not just specific to students planning to attend GCC–all students planning to utilize financial aid would benefit from attending. Be sure to add this date to your calendar!!

Check out All Access Day from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM EDT for our biggest virtual college fair of the season. Students and families will have the opportunity to chat with 200+ colleges and have their questions answered about completing and filing the Common App, academic programs, financial aid, campus life and much more.
Plus, students can enter the Fall into $5,000 scholarship when they visit 3 schools during the event!

The PSAT has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 30th. Testing will begin at 2:00 pm and will be given in the cafeterias. ALL students who want to take the PSAT need to sign up (this includes juniors and advanced 10th graders); even if you signed up previously. You can sign up in the school counseling office. Plan to bring your own graphing calculator and 2 No. 2 pencils. Students will need to make arrangements to be picked up or plan to ride the activity bus home that day.
