Credentials: M.Ed., Counselor Education, University of Virginia; B.S., Sociology, Virginia Tech

Mr. Schuyler is originally from Arlington, VA, and worked as a middle school counselor before joining the team at CHS.  In addition to his usual counseling duties, Mr. Schuyler assists in implementing the AP, Dual Enrollment and Virtual Virginia programs and maintains the school counseling department’s web page.  He continues to believe that it is always a great day to be a Cavalier.

Mrs. Huntsinger has received a Career Coach Certification from the Virginia Community College System and a Global Career Development Facilitator Certification from UVA.  Mrs. Huntsinger’s counseling duties include the School Counseling Newsletter, Career Day, Scholarships, and the Senior Award Ceremony. She enjoys her school counseling career, family, hiking, snow skiing, motorcycling, reading, and traveling.

Mrs. Jones is originally from St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. Before coming to CHS she taught elementary school for 13 years. Her responsibilities include Freshman Transition Coordinator, Academic Awards Banquet Coordinator and Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School Liaison. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters. She’s also a very active member of her church, where she serves on the Praise Team and leads the Teen Ministry with her husband. “Do not grow weary in well doing for in due season you will reap, if you faint not” is the verse she lives by to keep herself motivated.

Ms. McMullin is originally from Richmond, Virginia and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.  As the Director of School Counseling, some of her responsibilities include coordinating with the Commonwealth Governors School and the Caroline Diversified Learning Center as well as coleading our new high school student leaders group for Bowling Green Elementary School. Ms. McMullin lives in Hanover County, Virginia with her playful beagle, Avery.

Mrs. Hummer is CHS’s Germanna Community College  Career Coach.  She has always had a passion for working with students in the school setting. She helps students create a solid career plan, assess their strengths and weaknesses and navigate their path to finding post secondary programs, including apprenticeships and workforce training, that reflect their educational and financial goals. Some of her goals this year are to assist students to find the right training or education needed, along with connecting to opportunities for real world experiences. What she loves about working at Caroline High school is she gets the chance to help students realize their dreams and discover different opportunities for post-secondary education to make those dreams a reality.

Credentials: B.S.Ed., Youth and Social Innovation, University of Virginia

Ms. Taylor is originally from Marion, Virginia and is a graduate of the University of Virginia.  As a College Advisor, she assists senior students with all things related to college, including applications, financial aid, scholarships, SAT/ACT, and more. Ms. Taylor’s position is funded in part by the Virginia College Advising Corps, a program which places recent college grads in rural and urban regions throughout Virginia. Ms. Taylor lives in Richmond with her lovable cat, Nibbler.
